chapter 26: DREAM SWEET DREAMS

I am defiantly a dreamer.
Daydreams... nightdreams... bigdreams...

Dream worlds are the most magical places. I usually have some ridiculous dream with outrageous monsters, special powers like flight, or find myself in bizarre situations {like the rest of the world does} and I have them every night. Without fail. When I wake up, I usually remember my dreams very vividly. I can recall them with perfect clarity right when I open my eyes, but about an hour later, they're gone from my memory unless I tell them to someone or right it down.

I used to keep a 'dream journal' and even tried a 'dream blog' for a little while, but lost steam - they were too intricate and too difficult to explain in order to give the same feeling and experience to the reader.

I thought everyone remembered their dreams, until I married Benjamin.
Benjamin never dreams {or so he claims}.

BUT this morning, something amazing happened. I woke up first, showered, and got ready for my work day while Ben slept in {which he only gets to do once a week, poor boy}.

While I was trying to get dressed in the dimly lit room {as to not disturb the sleeping prince}, I looked over at him just as he rolled over and gave a frustrated mumble, "I don't know where the stapler is..."

I looked at him and smiled as he "came to" and I said, "what? do you know what you just said?"
He got a sleepy smile on his face and said, "I know what I said but not why I said it... were you looking for a stapler? Did you just ask me for a stapler?"

"No.. " {I giggled}
And then proceeded to tackle him in bed, celebrating the fact that he just had a dream!
While he may only have dreams about office supplies, at least he dreams.
It was hilarious for me at the time, but you probably had to have been there...

{Ahhh... so funny}
